Location can't be beat, steps away from the Charles Bridge making it convenient for all Prague sights. The staff was excellent, very helpful. The hostel is actually run out of an information center, so they will help you book activities. They booked me Swan Lake tickets! They also arranged for a free Ghosts and Legends tour. Also, unlimited bottled water and coffee. The accommodations are acceptable (it's a hostel after all). Beautiful ceilings. Bathrooms are ok, but need some counter space or shelving to put your clothes while in the shower. It's not a very social hostel and people don't really use the common areas. Street noise is very loud. Overall, it's a solid choice!

My wife and I loved our stay at the Charles Bridge Economic Hostel! The hostel doubles as a travel information center, so there was no shortage of information from staff on what to do in Prague. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful - Anna specifically helped us during our check in, and was there several times throughout our stay to answer any questions we had without hesitation. She was able to help us book private transport to the airport, too. Anna was very friendly, and went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful stay in Prague. During our stay we had access to water, coffee, and hot chocolate in the reception area. As guests at the hostel, we were also entitled to perks (such as free tickets to a ghost tour). Our room was private, spacious, and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower/restroom was very nice as well. The hostel was located right near the Charles Bridge, and close to many shops and restaurants in the area. Great location, and such a great value! We would absolutely recommend this hostel to friends, family, and other travelers.

This hostel is located right by Charles Bridge, so it is easy to get around the city from this central location. The hostel staff were friendly and helpful, and always offered us coffee and information about the city. The reception is also the tourist information center, so it was easy to get everything we needed from there--bus tickets, souvenirs, and information brochures/maps.

The location of the hostel cannot be better! Very close to the most attractions but also not so busy and crowded. It is perfect!!! The staff is amazing! Very kind and helpful and you feel very welcome from the first minute! Due to the hostel being run by the official tourist info office, the guys get for you the most interesting deals and offers for many activities which is great to save money! The rooms are very comfortable and the lack of bunker beds make everything more easy!!!

I want to move in to one of the flats here! Charming hostel w outdoor space, free laundry, coffee machine, and wonderful staff. The staff literally work in the tourist information office, as it serves as the hostel's front desk, so they have all the information you may need. Not only did each provide a smile and complimentary coffee, but went above and beyond to make sure I had the info I needed to make a day trip or head out for dinner. Location can't be beat either.

I spend 2 days in Prague at the end of September 2016. The hostel is located on the west side of famous Charles Bridge. By taking a tram to Malostranske Namessti stop, this place can easily access by walk. The building has a beautiful historic façade with a simply small charming space of and cozy interior decoration. The location is perfect. The front street it seems always very busy with crowds of people, a lot of activities, many restaurants even supermarket. Some may say noisy but I think it’s lively and fun.
The staffs here are very friendly and helpful. Pavel, the way you do to help and take care of people is really amazing. This guy is always willing to give a good advice to travel in Prague. He helped me carry the luggage, recommended the local restaurant and local beer as well. I couldn’t ask for more.
My room type is 4-beds dormitory room on the 2nd floor. The room was clean and tidy. My favorite is a lovely yellow wall and there is an inner courtyard with a little garden between my room and the kitchen. Lucky that no noisy sound and party that night. So I got a good night sleep, woke up with sunrise and enjoyed outdoor breakfast here which is Prague ham with potatoes from kiosk nearby. No worry about the utensils. This hostel kitchen can give you all.
Finally, I have found some joy and peaceful moment in the red lobby, just sitting with an adorable black cat called wifi and having a pleasant hot chocolate. Absolutely it’s free!
Thank you everyone for your warm welcome. Prague has become one of my best destinations. Wish I could come back here again.

I had a great stay here! The staff are so lovely, they really made me feel welcome. big open dorm rooms so it never felt crowded or hot and stuffy.. there was a great kitchen and fridge on every floor and a comfortable lounging area with computer, internet and tv.... the bathroom was great too. you can also do your laundry for free as well! Overall it was an amazing hostel in a fantastic location which felt very homely for me... my only issue is not very social atmosphere for a lone traveller.

The staff are welcoming, but impersonal. The location is fantastic! But the common areas are pittyfull, and the rooms are not very well isolated. The big plus is value for money, you are right across the Charles bridge from the city center! Free water bottles and coffe are included!

Liked: the experience of going out from your room to find yourself on the main attraction and center of all nightlife of Prague is unbelievable. I was literally on the entrance of the bridge.

Disliked: some of the parts of the facility can be easily fixed or upgraded

Liked: The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff absolutely can't be beat. We felt like they really went out of their way to assist us. We definitely enjoyed the free water and hot chocolate every day. We also used their services to help us book tickets to a show, which saved us a few dollars. The ATM in the lobby was convenient as well. Our room was fine. Clean enough. The small kitchenette was handy for keeping breakfast items. The bathroom had a heat rack for drying clothes and the free washing machine (just buy laundry soap) was so great to have. We were able to do all of our laundry so we could leave Prague with a backpack full of clean clothes.

Disliked: Our room had windows overlooking the open courtyard, which we thought would be nice. There was noise late into the night (which didn't bother us but might bother other guests). Most of all, we were disappointed that we had to close our windows because people were smoking out in the courtyard and our room quickly filled with smoke smell. And then because of the closed windows, the room became a little warm and stuffy. Also- there was a used q-tip in the bed frame next to the mattress, which was a bit gross, but I understand how it could have been overlooked.
